About this listen
Helicon Drive is the first installment of the Poetic Score series, a new form of audiobook entertainment created by Adam and Eric Sullivan of Quiet Place. This unique series is characterized by having a full musical composition underneath each narrated chapter, enhancing emotion and capturing the true essence of a story.
Helicon Drive is a glimpse into the lives of Daniel, a medical resident, and Beenie, a waitress in her mid-20s - complete strangers who were destined to meet. This is a short story about the birth of hope and love in the midst of tragedy and confusion. Helicon Drive sheds light on love's eternal grasp, not bound by this body, space, or time. The notion that love and a sense of purpose from this life can be carried to the next.
After the death of a patient, Daniel becomes rattled with confusion, denial, and a fading sense of self. In the wake of this tragedy, he finds Beenie. Despite their undeniable attraction to one another, each remains focused on the search for the answer - an answer to the problem that burdens them both. After days of sharing intense glances and enticing body language, Beenie would give anything to speak to this man who now haunts her dreams. Daniel can't deny Beenie's beauty and becomes consumed by it. Someone he initially thought to be a distraction from his search has now become his object of desire.
By the time the lovers realize that what they were searching for was each other, life tries to rip them apart. Now, caught in the vice grip of life, is Daniel and Beenie's love strong enough to last?
