About this listen
A village full of gorgeous elves desperate to be loved? There had to be a catch.
Sebastian Frost’s most recent memory was waking up in a field naked, in a body that wasn’t his own, in a world that definitely wasn’t his own, and three stunning pointy-eared women staring right at him. He also remembered hair as white as starlight, eyes like amethysts, and the name Shalia.
Fortunately, it was the right name to know.
Shalia was the elves’ goddess, and that made him her herald. If that wasn’t enough of a blessing, he was in a game world, he was high level, he had hundreds of ability points to spend, and the elves were practically throwing themselves at him.
Of course, there was a catch.
Shalia, her followers, and now, Frost himself were viewed by the world as bringers of misfortune and everybody hated them. Although, to be fair, Frost was going to rain misfortune on anybody who attempted to harm his lovable new followers.
Herald of Shalia is a fun fantasy litRPG by Tamryn Tamer and contains attention-starved elves, beast-girl courtesans, foul language, twosomes, threesomes, and foursomes, and completely over-the-top love-making. You've been warned.

This is a fully realized Fantasy Novel. Great Characters and World Building.
The main character is a fantastic Anti-Hero. He is selfish and self-serving. But it ultimately plays into him having to be the guy who steps up and does the dirty work. And he is no saint, that's for sure. He also isn't so unbelievably overpowered. Like, yes, he is a powerful champion. But he is in no means invincible. And he very clearly has flaws and makes mistakes.
The supporting characters are all unique with tons of diverse personalities. And the voice actors do an Amazing job of making them all feel that way too. From snivling prince, to scheming advisor, to a playful bard, to an old high priestess, and foul-mouthed assassin. Most books in this (harem/male fantasy) category tend to only have talking roles for like 4-5 characters, but this book is a whole production. Also, it's the best acted book I've listen too so far. I wish all voice actors put in this much effort.
The world itself has a game-like quality, which becomes obvious fairly quickly. (The system itself is fascinating.) But it also has a sense of realism. Where people live within their bubble and don't know things that other people do. And don't stray to far from what they know or are taught. There are borders and conflicts. There is social issues like classism. It's a very plausible world with very real problems.
And this book is just the beginning...
Be warned, however, there is around an hour of s*x scenes in this book. And they are very well written... and acted.
10/10 from me. I'll be back for more.

A fun and awesome story
Read the warnings before getting this. It’s not for the faint of heart. But it is a fun and very entertaining story. I love the very different take on elves and the world in general is very well thought out. I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes harem gamelit.

well then
Was definitely not what I was expecting. I just randomly purchased a audiobook to listen to well on the road. definitely very well written. And the audio performance was... very descriptive and well enunciated. had me definitely listening. And multiple points had me shifting uncomfortably, enraptured by the detail and a number of spots absolutely howling with laughter at some of the antics. definitely a more r-rated material. but personally can't wait for the next one.

love love love this book
Loved the book and the audio book was great. Both narrator's are wonderful, sexy and smooth. Very impressed with the varying voices. The main character is great. the thing that makes this otherworld story unique is the main character is vengeful and protective without being a goodie too shoes. the world is an impressive challenge. also the sexy times are great.

AMZING cant wait for the next one!!!
Cant say enough great things about this BOOK! I loved the narration style used with Amber Lee Connors doing most of it besides the MC which Kieran Flitton does a great job of. Really splits things up with Amber doing the internal MC thoughts voice!
Cant Wait for the Next one!!!!!

Excrable dialogue.
So much repetition in the dialogue. Hard to believe that characters would want to make/hear the same points over and over again ad nauseum.

Good acting for a bad story
The Harold of Shalia lacks an overarching plot and has repetitive language.
Acting: The people who voice act did a very good job at it clearly differentiating between characters. Very well done
Plot: Outside of saving the elves from local threats it lacks an overall plot and the last 4-5 hours has non just exploring Blackwater and sleeping with cortizans.
characters: Most have repetitive dialogue main character is a nice guy architype who calls almost every women he meets beautiful. Only interesting character shows up at the last quarter and that's because he swears like a sailor outside of the princesses hearing. The rest have little personality outside their arcitypes.
acting 4- 4.5 / 5
story 1/5
