À propos de cet audio

The New York Times bestseller Here’s the Story is the poignant memoir of Maureen McCormick, who starred as the beloved Marcia Brady on the hit series The Brady Bunch. Maureen tells her shocking and inspirational true story, taking readers behind the scenes of one of America’s favorite television families, and to the dark side, where she was caught up in a fast-paced, drug-fueled, star-studded Hollywood existence that ultimately led to the biggest battle of her life.

Maureen's life was interesting enough, but, for an actress, her narration skills are awful! She literally is just reading to us. There is no connection to her words, no emotion WHATSOEVER, and very bland storytelling.
I have listened to so many biographies, and the thing that I love about them is that as you listen, it feels like that celebrity is right in the room with you, telling you their story. Not Maureen - she even seems to be struggling to read this boring book.

Sorry, Marcia

I don't know why I naively assumed Miss McCormick had enjoyed an idyllic, carefree life, but she sets the record straight in this very heartfelt and honest account of the challenges she has faced so far. It felt like I was listening to an old friend, but one who I didn't truly know. I teared-up at times, hearing her recount some of the tough times and toxic people she's faced, and bringing the light of day to some dark family secrets that I think many of us can relate to but keep hidden. Her voice is as soft and sweet as ever, and she will always be my vision of the ultimate California Girl. Thank you, Maureen McCormick, for sharing your heart with us, and I suppose I will always have a crush on you.

it was good to hear that "Marcia" didn't go to Maureen's head. She is a very humble person. It was good to learn about her family drama. Its always good to hear how others survive their own family drama.
