About this listen
Katherine Carew: Illegitimate daughter of an English earl. Abducted to Scotland at age 14. No family, no reputation, no rules.
Rolfe McTavish: Heir to an honorable Highland laird. Can't believe how well tomboy Kate can fight. About to learn how much of a woman she really is.
Scotland is seething with plots, the vengeful Gordons are spoiling for a fight, and the neighboring clans are at each other's throats. All it takes is a passionate hellion with a penchant for reckless adventure to ignite the Highlands once more.

The Hellion and the Highlander
I like how the author intertwines several plot lines within the story and within the series. Therefore, the audience has met some of the characters before, yet some are introduced in this tome. In fact, one story line segues into the next book in the series.
Highland Hellion is the 3rd book in the Highland Weddings series. The main female character was introduced in Book 2 at the age of 14. Katherine was stolen from her English aristocratic father. The Scottish Regent wanted to marry her to a Highlander. The chosen Scot refused to marry and bed a child. He rescued Catherine and raised her as a sister.
This story finds her a grown woman several years later. She trained as a warrior disguised as a male. She did not like being told she could no longer participate in excursions once her disguise was uncovered.
Trying to prove her worth, she goes out on her own and inadvertently saves one clan being discovered by another. Unfortunately, the 2nd clan captured her. As the story plays out, there is interaction between several clans, some friendly, some adversarial.
Find out who comes to the Hellion's rescue. Is she returned to her "brother"? Does she fall for someone in her clan? Another clan? Back to England?
I enjoyed this story as I did the previous two! The author has created an interesting tale set to the history of 16th century Scotland.
As usual Antony Ferguson does a great job of narrating with his ability to create diverse voices and a sexy Scottish brogue.
