 Much-Afraid begins her journey, crippled and disfigured, with the cry, "Oh, if only I could escape from this Valley of Humiliation altogether and go to the High Places." She leaves her Fearing relatives behind, and presses on to the Realm of Love. As the Chief Shepard explains, no Fears can live in this realm, because "perfect love casts out fears and everything that torments".

Written on a similar scale to the great classic Pilgrim's Progress, you'll travel along with Much-Afraid and her companions, Sorrow and Suffering, as they make the ascent to the High Places where the King of Love reigns supreme. ENCAPSULATING!

I loved how this story mirrors the very essence of the the heart of God using the word and direct scriptures interwoven throughout. The reader does an excellent job of portraying the characters “much afraid” and the Shepherd using encapsulating inflections with her voicing. A classic biblical allegory.
