Publisher's Summary

Months ago, I was homeless and broken, and in search of a dangerous man.

I found the devil’s prototype in a flawless navy suit.

Clay Butcher.

A man twice my age who kills brutally, takes territorially, and hides his emotions deep within layers of smooth control.

He is my father’s enemy and the don of the Cosa Nostra. Evil. Beautiful. Ruthless.

But he’s not the villain of my story.

He spoils me, punishes me, and holds me accountable. So, when the time comes for Clay Butcher to weed out betrayals and take revenge on those who have hurt his family, I will choose him.

I will always choose him.

His Pretty Little Queen needs to be listened to after His Pretty Little Burden, and is part of The Kids of the District series. It has a happily ever after. It features a powerful mafia don and his endearing tortured little heroine.

His Pretty Little Queen has an age-gap dynamic that some people may find uncomfortable. It is an epic love story with spice, violence, gore, and drama. Enjoy.

So confusing

I am so confused with this author. Fawn was sexually assaulted by all 3 of her foster brothers and she can't stand anyone touching her including herself but she will have oral sex and sex with Clay. In fact she is the one who instigates things. That is the confiusing part. If it effects her that much that she can't have anyone touch her what makes him so different that she wants it with him. I know it is fiction but come on!!!
She had such a massive breakdown at the end of the first book and by chapter 2 of the second book she is having consenual sex with him that she always initiates while she is saying she is so ashamed and does not want it. If Nicci Harris wanted to write a complex FMC she only succeeded in writing an emotionally immature character who lives in her own fantasy world and will have you scratching your head in confusion. The female narrators interpretation does little to help the character either. The author has written 2 separate characters telling 2 separate stories and it is so confusing as it jumps all over the place. I wish I could get my money back for this as I could not finish it. I rewound it to the beginning twice and still could not. I get the term child like wonder but this is way past the definition and it just made me not want to finish it and that has only happened one other time. I only lasted as long as I did because of Shane East. He did an awesome job with Clay. I also mistakenly thought that the author would have the FMC come into her own and become a bad ass but alas that was not the case - in fact the character regressed even more into childishness which I did not believe was possible
