About this listen
When the world ended, Henry certainly had his hands full keeping his clan alive.
After all, it's no easy task bringing electricity back to the world, much less raising animals, expanding the farm, and everything in between. Still, given enough time, he could do it all.
There's just one problem. An insurgent group has sprung up, and they're determined to kill him and all the other men so they can steal away women for breeding purposes. And that is something Henry cannot abide.

Better than the first in many ways.
No mistake, this is still a prepper’s wet dream of a series. But this novel had more detail, nuance and depth. The sex/relationships are still graphic and … ambitious, but if that’s not your thing then skip 30-120 seconds ahead and keep on going. There are much better post-apocalyptic novels out there (Read: Earth Abides or Wool) but this is fine. Not as bad as some I’ve read. Can’t say I’m eager for more but I’ll get the third if there are credits to burn.

First book OK - second Meh - third Awful
If I wanted to read a teenage boy's wet dream diary, I would have picked up Penthouse thanks very much. Buried deep within this muck is the apocalypse story I was looking for, but I had to keep skipping through all these stupid multiple women on one studly guy encounters. It was sorta okay in the first book, when he had only two, but by the third book, when it gets up to four women -- and I'm talking women, with brains in their heads and more than enough capacity to succeed on their own without having to share this jerk -- I gave up. I couldn't get through it. Had to quit. Believe me, you'll get a better story out of the Penthouse. Narrator was pretty good tho'.
