Publisher's Summary

Maggie has spent basically every summer of her 15-year-old life at the 100-year-old Camp Bellflower for Girls, set deep in the heart of Appalachia. She's from Atlanta, she's never kissed a guy, she's into Backstreet Boys, and her long summer days are full of a pleasant, peaceful nothing - until one confounding moment.

A split-second of innocent physical contact pulls Maggie into a gut-twisting love for an older, wiser, and, most surprising of all (at least to Maggie), female counselor named Erin. But Camp Bellflower is an impossible place for a girl to fall in love with another girl. When it seems as if Erin maybe feels the same way about Maggie, it's too much for both Maggie and Camp Bellflower to handle - let alone understand.

An enthralling graphic novel.

Atmospheric, mysterious, completely immersive. The listener gets into the mind, feelings, emotions, secrets, relational world, humour and sexuality of a brave and stunning 15 year old girl. This is a memoir. It’s raw, crisp, and genuine realness, carried me fully inside her head, and inside her body. By rapid osmosis: I forgot who I was, and I became her; from beginning to end. An enticing immersion, and an unexpected attainment. An enchanting read (listen). I wish to read more from this remarkable writer. And to hear many an audiobook narrated by the wonderful young lead narrator. Thank you.
