It's summer in Mayville Heights, and Kathleen Paulson and her detective boyfriend Marcus are eager to attend the closing concert of the local music festival. The concert is a success, but then one of the band members is discovered dead shortly after it. Not getting better

I did struggle to finish for the second time. I love Owen, Hercules and Micah but the "filler' in this series is getting old. Things like, 'He ran his hand down the back of his neck', etc. It almost seems like the author sends the book to someone to flesh out and they have 4 pre-typed sentences they just randomly add to up the word count. It's time for either a helper or the series to end. Sorry S. Kelly, but you need some new stuff in here. Having said that, I do have the whole series and have pre-ordered the next, but think it will be my last.


Cassandra Campbell is so much better in the Miss Fortune series. Here she sounds like she is softening her voice too much.
