About this listen
Take back your kingdom.
Unicorns and dragons never mix. For centuries, they've been bitter enemies and their kingdoms at war. But desperate times call for desperate measures. Tanis's beloved older brother and heir to their throne has been slain by a human who continues to flaunt her brother's death.
To restore her family's honor, she's willing to make a deal with a unicorn shapeshifter so that she can infiltrate the human kingdom and recapture what was so cruelly taken.
Dash Coeur de Noir isn't just any unicorn. As the High King, he's the most hated and feared of his breed, and he's on his own mission when the dragon Tanis crosses his path—to reclaim his sister's horn that was brutally taken. In the wrong hands, that horn could destroy the fragile peace that has kept the Thirteen Kingdoms from destroying each other.
In a world built on magic, blood, and betrayal, no one can trust anyone. With a bounty on their heads and assassins and enemies out to claim them both, they must somehow learn to trust each other or watch their kingdoms burn.
From #1 New York Times and international bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon comes an all-new world unlike anything ever seen before...

Story
My name is Nick Gautier, and I was born to end the world. Or so I thought. For years, I believed my destiny was beyond my control. But the Fates love to play with folks, and I seem to be their favorite punchline. Just when my crew and I thought we were done with the apocalypse, the Fates dragged back for another round. Now, we have to stop the powers-that-be and my future son or the ones I love and cherish will become memories.

Story
Zo Grey is reeling from the sudden death of her mother when she receives a surprising call from an attorney in Divinity, Louisiana, with the news she has been left an inheritance by a distant relative, the terms of which he will only discuss in person. Destitute and alone, with nothing left to lose, Zo heads to Divinity and discovers she is the sole beneficiary of a huge fortune and a monstrosity of a house that sits ominously at the peak of Watch Hill—but she must live in it, alone, for three years before the house, or the money, is hers.

Story
Command Assassin Nykyrian Quikiades once turned his back on the League—and has been hunted by them ever since. Though many have tried, none can kill him or stop him from completing his current mission: to protect Kiara Zamir, a woman whose father's political alliance has made her a target. As her world becomes even deadlier, Kiara must entrust her life to the same kind of beast who once killed her mother and left her for dead. Old enemies and new threaten them both and the only way they can survive is to overcome their suspicions and learn to trust in the very ones who threaten them the most.

Ilea likes punching things. And eating. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many career options for hungry brawlers. Instead, the plan is to quit her crappy fast-food job, go to college, and become a fully functioning member of society. Essentially—a fate worse than death.

Ugh…
Picked this up only because I wanted to hear Fred Berman.
If you have any literary standards at all, don’t buy this book - very poorly written and packed with so much nonsensical cliches that the worst parts aren’t even the mythical interspecies beastiality themes… the only reason you’d listen to this is if you are a weird fetishest of some sort.
