Publisher's Summary

The stunning third book in the sexy, action-packed Crescent City series, following the global best sellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath.

Bryce Quinlan never expected to see a world other than Midgard, but now that she has, all she wants is to get back. Everything she loves is in Midgard: her family, her friends, her mate. Stranded in a strange new world, she's going to need all her wits about her to get home again. And that's no easy feat when she has no idea whom to trust.

Hunt Athalar has found himself in some deep holes in his life, but this one might be the deepest of all. After a few brief months with everything he ever wanted, he's in the Asteri's dungeons again, stripped of his freedom and without a clue as to Bryce's fate. He's desperate to help her, but until he can escape the Asteri's leash, his hands are quite literally tied.

In this sexy, breathtaking sequel to the number one best sellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath, Sarah J. Maas' Crescent City series reaches new heights as Bryce and Hunt's world is brought to the brink of collapse—with its future resting on their shoulders.

Amazing!

The only thing I didn’t like was that there were some parts that seemed to have a huge buildup for nothing. But overall I was on the edge of my seat and loving every bit. I wish that there was more cross over but it was nice

Did not disappoint

I loved the rest of her series, and loved the conclusion to this world. The narrator is perfect.

overkill with world building

I liked the story and the characters but the world building and politics was overwhelming. there were times when explanations from 15000 years ago dragged on and I was like idc get back to the present. but otherwise it was good. the narrator did well with the voices

Forever in awe with the way sim writes and I will never be disappointed. I can’t wait to see where things continue if they eventually do

Kinda disappointed

Tower of dawn was more exciting. I don’t know if it was the writing or the characters but it fell flat. Don't get me wrong I've been an SJM fan since TOG series was still being released and will go back again and again to re read the amazing stories but probably not this one. Bryce was so whinny and completely off the rails, it made the read so difficult and hunt was a pushover. it tried too hard to be a happy ending that i wished she killed off two people in particular (you'll know what i mean when you finish, too much sunball we get it). im just really frustrated with it, theyre not the characters and story i enjoyed in HOEAB. good story line, bad execution

Awesome book!

Very interesting story, never boring till the end. Loved surprise twists here and there, it kept me entertained to the last word.

Wow that was a lot! In a good way

Even though the cross over between ACOTAR and CC wasn’t as big as I hoped it was still good. We got a huge information dump that Bryce had to bring back.

We found out who Hunts “father” was.

The entire part with the three guys trapped in the dungeon and everything that was done to them seemed to drag out forever and was hard to get through.

There was lots of mini stories going on throughout the book. There was revenge, forgiveness, redemption, closure.

All the mini stories kinda came together at the end and showed many species working together towards a goal. Now they will need to move forward hopefully together
