About this listen
ADHD affects roughly four percent of adults, but the amount of relationships affected is much higher. The divorce rate is nearly twice as high in marriages when one or both partners have ADHD. In fact, research has shown that on average about 61 percent of marriages actually end in divorce when ADHD is involved.
ADHD symptoms add consistent and predictable problems to any marriage in which one or both partners have the condition. As long as their ADHD remains untreated, or undertreated, these patterns can leave both partners feeling lonely, unhappy, and ultimately overwhelmed by their relationship.
It is true that adults with ADHD can be hard to love, but once you understand the true burden they are carrying, your heart will open up with understanding. Love and compassion will ultimately take the place of frustration and resentment, and you will start to see into the good of their hearts.
How ADHD Affects Relationships is full of tips and strategies for both partners, the ADHD partner and the non-ADHD partner, to help manage the symptoms and to work together as a couple. The different chapters in this book are:
- Understanding ADHD in Adults
- The Role ADHD Plays in Relationships
- Tips for Increasing Your Understanding in Your Relationships
- Commonly Asked Questions About Being in a Relationship With Someone Who Has ADHD
- An Inside Look From Both Partner's Perspectives
- Challenges That Effect ADHD Relationships
- The Biggest Problem Areas Most Couples Face and How to Counteract These Issues
- 20 Things to Remember Before Dating Someone With ADHD
If your relationship with your ADHD partner is needing help, or if you yourself have ADHD and are having a hard time managing your relationship, then look no further - this is the perfect book for you! Scroll up, and click buy!

Repetitive. not modern.
Old school, not based on modern society. very gender role based on "womem having children" " women doing their chores"... "married"...

Very negative from beginning to end
This book sounds like the author had a hard breakup with marriage and is angry. It talks about one negative issue after another and makes it would like every relationship has ended because of someone who has ADHD. When in fact, there are a lot of really positive things that come with having ADHD, not all is negative. This is the very first audio book that I really regret buying, I can’t even finish listening to it, because of how negative and draining it is.
