About this listen
Seth Grahame-Smith delivers the definitive, essential guide to making it through a horror movie in one piece. As hilarious as it is useful (if you’re trapped in a scary flick, that is), How to Survive a Horror Movie covers all the bases. Trapped in a haunted house? Check. Stalked by an evil doll? Check. Wandering aimlessly through the remains of the old world as a plague of zombies sweeps over the planet? Check. Grahame-Smith's delightfully gruesome guide is just the thing for horror buffs and anyone who has ever watched a scary movie.

Heller rocks again!
Johnny Heller is a spectacular narrator, and this “how to” book is brilliantly facetious. It mock horror genres with skill and aplomb, in a way that actually makes you appreciate the genre and it’s tropes even more.

All the tropes and stereotypes and genre conventions you need to know about in order to survive
So you have a role in a horror film (regardless of what age, gender, sexuality, stereotypical role, archetype or trope ,film subgenre, setting or villain) you will need to listen to this book in order to survive.Seth has written you a how to book that will guide you on your journey through the film to the credits by going over everything to avoid in horror films that lead to the death of characters. You only to identify the type of horror film you are in and the character type that you are playing and then follow his advice on what to avoid and not do. This comedic reference book perfectly pairs humor with horror and doesn’t take itself too seriously. And the narrator is perfect at reading this how to guide to in an authoritative as well as emphasizing and almost acting out the character of all seeing third person narrator pov in fiction.

Very 2011
Not particularly impressed with the “ I’m so clever” writing style. Some of the words used in this book could have been left in 2011.
