The Monks of New Skete
About this listen
In How to Be Your Dog's Best Friend, the monks build upon the basic puppy training covered in their book The Art of Raising a Puppy to tell you everything you need to know to care for your dog. From how to select a dog to fit your lifestyle, how to read a pedigree, how and when to train, how to properly use praise and discipline, and how to feed and care for dogs, the monks offer clear guidelines to improving communication with your canine.
Filled with the wisdom, compassion, and caring that the brothers are known for, How to Be Your Dog's Best Friend helps you better understand your dog, which can lead to a deepened bond with your pet.

Fantastic Information!
A must read for dog lovers, or anyone interested in training dogs! Purely positive 'treat trainers' may not like the fact that some actions should require physical discipline, but it's only required in specific situations such as aggression, and most of the time positive reinforcement is king, not treats. Above all they want you to love your dog, but you need to realise it's an animal first, and if you respect that and fulfill their basic needs then you can enjoy a bond and connection that is enjoyable and unbreakable!
Only criticism is the quality isn't amazing, seems a bit quiet compared to other audio's but still totally understandable, and at one point a few seconds get chopped out for some reason so a tiny bit of info is lost.

Someone should abuse the author
this book encourages you to hit your animal and use physical force. I'm glad it was free to listen to as I refuse to finish it. it's disgusting.
