Too much filler
Good content, but the amount of extra fluff was a bit frustrating at times. I understand the stories can provide helpful context, but I found some of them dragged on longer than they needed to, and the author had a general tendency to add unnecessary, flowery language. It's wonderful she's passionate about writing, and I have no doubt she's an expert in this area, but I feel the book would be more effective with less filler.

Author hits a lot of nails
This is the second book by the author that I have listened to. She emphasizes in both books that critical thinking skills, and deeper thinking is always the path. Also that men miss the finer points a lot, and she is not wrong as I reflected on past decisions and actions

Men are from mars kind of thing
I was hoping to learn about how to make friends but this was just another book about supposed differences between men and women, full of stereotypes. Was this written in last millenium?

just like all the others
as with other books by New Yorker Ms. Lowndes, a total and complete waste of time.
