Publisher's Summary

This book is dedicated to everyone that has a passion for helping people, but they’re just not sure how to do so. Have you ever wanted to be there for someone but you’re not quite sure how to be? You see a problem and you intervene and make things worse. Not only did you not make your point, you’ve possibly made a new enemy. If this sounds like you, then this book is for you.

No one wants to be told what to do, but most people don’t mind being helped along the way. Deep down, we all understand that we’re not meant to travel through this life time alone. We all desire the company of others, but not at the expense of giving up our individuality. It’s important to respect everyone’s differences even if you don’t agree with them. No one will ever accept your help until you can prove that you care. This means proving that you care in a way that the other person understands, not just in a way that you understand. If the other person is not aware of the fact that you care about them first, all of your attempts will come off as controlling instead of helpful.

Showing love to a person is the best way to win a friend. If people are added to your enemies list, never let it be because you put them there, but only because they put themselves there. Being too pushy even with good intentions can cause your enemy list to grow. Do not allow your good to be spoken evil of. There are times when a little push is needed, but there are also times that require you to completely take your hands off. Keep in mind that everyone you desire to help is a real human being with real thoughts, feelings, and emotions, so they must be treated as such.
