Life in contemporary post-referendum Barcelona

This novel surprised me. It's a murder mystery set in contemporary post-referendum Barcelona that has made its independence politics integral to the plot without being a political novel. The story is interesting, and the book kept me engaged all the way through. Alas, the narrator is awful. She read the novel in a slew of different accents while showing no talent in any of them. It makes listening to the audiobook confusing and unpleasant. I prefer a narrator who is either good with the accents of the characters, or who uses her natural speaking voice.

Good story and narrator

Liked the inner voice of the main character throughout, giving a great feel for who she was.
