Wow!
Just ... outstanding. Don't judge a book by its cover like I did. This is one of my favorite series of all time.

I wish it was all by Kristen Sieh
The first 4 books are narrated by Kristen and then it switches to being narrated by different perspectives and voices by chapter so it’s almost like everyone has been recast after listening to Kristen do every voice for so long. It really bothers me that Amelia the AI being a mother and Lucan’s wife is never mentioned in the first 3 books and how Lucan loves Junko and is naked in bed with her but has this wife that he loves, that’s never really explained.

Narrator and sound
Story is great but it would have been better if they had stuck with 1 narrator like they did in the first 3 books. The additional narrators were off putting as they didn’t use the same speech patterns or accents that the characters had in the first 3 books so I would have to keep pausing and looking at the chapter headings to remind myself which character point of view it was supposed to be from. Having a characters name pronounced differently from one narrator to another was incredibly irritating. The sound recording was off on this one as well even if it was the same narrator. It was like it was paused for a narrator to take a break but then the recording settings were changed.

Could've been great; awful narration
Almost impossible to get through book 6 because I was totally lost. Instead of keeping Kristen Nief for all voices they subbed male characters with new narrators in the second collection. Don't get me wrong, I love Ray Porter, but switching character's voices mid-story completely ruined it.
