About this listen

This audiobook includes an interview with Ozzy Osbourne from 2009.

People ask me how come I'm still alive, and I don't know what to say. When I was growing up, if you'd have put me up against a wall with the other kids from my street and asked me which one of us was gonna make it to the age of 60, with five kids and four grandkids and houses in Buckinghamshire and California, I wouldn't have put money on me, no f--king way. But here I am: ready to tell my story, in my own words, for the first time.

A lot of it ain't gonna be pretty. I've done some bad things in my time. But I ain't the devil. I'm just John Osbourne: a working-class kid from Aston, who quit his job in the factory and went looking for a good time.

Unabashedly Honest

Ozzy admits to things you’d never think anyone would. It makes you respect him more for it.
Beautifully honest and the narrator couldn’t have been better.

Entertaining and Brave

Listening to someone be so open about their insecurities and sharing stories that most people want to hide shows how we are all just taking a similar but also different path on this journey of life.

What an amazing story

What an amazing story from beginning to end. The narrator did an excellent job. I loved how ozzy just told you the truth and didn’t try to hide anything.

Candid and Crazy

I was skeptical that this book was being read by someone else than Ozzy, but a few minutes into the book I was sold. The narrator falls into place as Ozzy, and candidly tells the wild tales of Ozzy. There were so many stories that I had never heard before and tidbits like what actually happened with the death of Randy Rhodes. I looked forward to listening every day in my car for the last few weeks. One of the best memoirs I've heard yet. 5 stars easy!

Absolutely Fantastic

It took a bit for me to hear the narrator as Ozzy instead of some random English bloke but once it clicked the way it's read was phenomenal. I was especially fond of the way he changed his voice for specific characters. His Zakk Wylde impersonation being one of my favorites despite it being brief. The stories in this book are a delicious blend of hilarious and insane. If you've ever considered yourself an Ozzy fan you owe it to yourself to listen to this book. I can't believe he is still alive, what an amazing and crazy life he's had.

A dramatic shock Rocker comedy

Loved this biography! At first some events were shocking, but hilarious. As the biography progresses, it's still hilarious and you can’t help but think, this could only happen to Ozzy. It's incredible that he's still alive.
