Publisher's Summary

Melanie Turner has made quite a name for herself remodeling historic houses in the San Francisco Bay Area. But now her reputation may be on the line.

At her newest project, a run-down Pacific Heights mansion, Mel is visited by the ghost of a colleague who recently met a bad end with power tools. Mel hopes that by nailing the killer, she can rid herself of the ghostly presence of the murdered man - and not end up a construction casualty herself....

Fun Little Romp with the Supernatural

I loved this book! I wasn't expecting an exemplary or noteworthy novel, if I wanted to read those I'd pick up one of the classics. I enjoyed it for what it was... a fluff piece of fun in between more serious novels.
The characters are well written and fun to meet, they're 'real' in a way some characters aren't in that I can imagine myself in some of the situations they find themselves in.
The narrator is fantastic, I've listened to a couple books by Xe Sands and find her to be very talented. She has the ability to voice multiple characters in such a way that you just know who's speaking without having to be told. Male or female, old or young, she does them all spectacularly!
If you like cozy mysteries that hold their own, full of fun and death, without the brain stingy seriousness of blockbuster novels, this might just be for you.
