About this listen
An old friend. A new course. A deadly ship with a secret cargo.
Ishmael Wang returns to Port Newmar, but ghosts from his past have followed him. His old shipmate, Phillip Carstairs, offers him the opportunity to track down the man who killed his lover. The catch? He must take command of the Chernyakova, a ship that still stinks of death and haunts Ishmael's nightmares.
Together Phillip and Ismael begin a journey into unknown reaches of the Deep Dark to bring back the man who killed Greta.

Together again!
Nice to have old friends back together! Art mimics life a little here as it takes a lifetime on their separate paths to reunite but I’m so happy they did.

Great book, average at best narrating.
Another great book from Nathan, the narrator wasn't all that great. he doesn't make it easy enough to differentiate the characters. Nathan did an amazing job narrating his own books, he should be doing the new books on here.

Cpt. Wong does it again.
Captain Good at everything continues to be enthrallingly good at more menial things. 10/10 would space with.

Like a cozy blanket
I’ve been listening to Nathan Lowell books since he did his own navigation and coming back to Ishmael Wang was like settling under a cozy blanket. While the consistent reactions of surprise by supporting characters to the protagonist’s actions can sometimes make me roll my eyes, I still love these stories for all their focus on what some might consider mundane details. I was hooked after book one where we spend a great deal of time reading about proper coffee urn maintenance. Not for everyone but still great.
