Always a great story
I like following the lives of the detectives and hearing of the history of England. Very entertaining and never too gory.

In a Dark House by Deborah Crombie.
Read by Michael Deehy. Michael does a fine job of his characterization of the people in the stories.

Fabulous Characters
Vividly written, believable characters really make the plot come to life. So that whereas in most crime novels, major characters primarily focus on the crime at hand, these characters live their lives while solving, or being impacted by, crime. I works. Mind you, that’s why there’s about a gizzillion books in the series. Ha.
