Macronomicon
About this listen
Perry Z has a Magical Destiny.
Born to a Magical Fantasy Princess and a nine-to-five Supervillain in the most superhero riddled city in the world, Perry's never felt...adequate. He's got no talent for magic, and not a scrap of superpowers to his name.
When The System boots and unlocks his powers, it forces him to follow in his father's footsteps, but he'd rather take after his mother...
Maybe there's a way he can do both...

Comparable to dungeon crawler carl
If you like dungeon crawler Carl you will like this book. Soundbooth does an awesome job with the performance, and the characters are great.

Cute
It was nice. Not great but I enjoyed listening to the whole thing. A lot better than a bunch of famous litrpg books with high reviews I've tried. I'll buy the next one when it's released.
The narration was great. I usually dislike having multiple narrators but this one worked well.

Great Story
This was a great story. I love the Cape and Cowl aspect mixed with magic. This is my first time hearing this narrator and he did a good job. My biggest complaints are the edits clearly stand out, with his voice getting deeper and sounding out of place. That and the narrator sometimes sounds like he's out out of breath, having to force out a few words that get slurred together or hard consonants sound faded.
Overall, a great listen.

Jacob Tanner Coded
I know the narrator is a part of it, but I couldn’t help myself from thinking that the sense of humour was Tanner-esque. Cool system, great story, awesome world. Looking forward to number two!

S+ Tier Production & Story
Incredible narration and use of audio cues. From the change of volume and addition of echoes to signify inner monologue,to the guttural monster voices, the voice acting was amazing. It should be the benchmark for similarly written books.
The story was great. The "magic/power system" is both fantastical and rooted in science (fiction) to give the illusion of complexity when most of the time you could get a *shrug* 'it just works' . The MC is VERY similar to the authors other work in the series "Wake of the Ravager". Hes cool, calculating, charming and capable of incredible cruelty which is only held back by a thin line of ethics. It's REALLY hard to write characters like this without making me roll my eyes every fifth page but Macro does it again. Why more people don't read his books ill never know.

An absolute gem of an audio book
This audio book is amazing in my opinion. It has it all! An amazing performance from the narrators witch really adds depth to the audio and an other great story from Macronomicon. This is a interesting mix of super hero and post apocalyptic. The world building is seamless and consistent and the characters are all unique and interesting. If you want to see what life is like in a semi distopian super hero/fantasy world this is the book for you.
