About this listen
They say there's no rest for the wicked, and New Orleans never knew how true that was until I came to town.
Nobody told me that when I entered the transition, the very gifts of my demonic lineage would be used against me. Nobody warned me that the flames of hell would burn from within. Or that I'd be driven to lust and madness, my chaotic magic becoming more wild and unruly than ever before.
The only way to save myself - and the world - was to give the beast what she wanted: control.
As if transitioning wasn't enough, my presence was now known, and my enemies were mounting. While the beast was intent on claiming our Four Horsemen, there were things to be done. People to find. Demons to kill.
And when they make a deal with the devil - let's just say that neither world will ever be the same again.
Long live the queen. If I can survive becoming immortal, that is.
Contains mature themes.

A lot happening behind the scenes
I wonder how everything is going to play out. There is a lot more politics and strategy rather than sexual pull between the characters. (Strange, seeing how 2 of the main characters are demons of lust.) There are a lot of loose ends and unanswered questions that will no doubt end in an ultimate showdown of some kind.

Finally got some spice & some story
This book had a little more story then the first two and luckily not trigger warnings were needed in this one (the first two book could of used them as they both detailed scenes where she was nearly raped)
We met some fae in this book and Ruby bonded and changed her best friend into a cool kick ass creature. Ruby went off on her own in this book it was petty and juvenile her monster just wanting things her way.
She had to get her raccoon & best friend back after her guys found her but left them 🤦♀️
We finally had her complete her bonds with the guys

It was better than expected
I've listened to the story of the 4 horse men before but this one was good as well. I like Hollie Jackson as a narrator and Kel Carpenter is always a good listen.

Meh still not any better
The first one I didn’t like at all. Was not impressed. I wasn’t impressed with the plot or the narration on these either. I don’t expect the next book to be any different. Good thing they were free
