About this listen
I am now the master of my domain.
These woodlands are my Kingdom, and I rule them with a fair but iron hand.
Just like my Brethren.
The Brethren that were tired of playing dumb.
Unlike myself, the undomesticated beasts of the wood, the task at hand would prove to be more difficult; they had to play wild and free, and play stupid. Easy prey for the man who walked the woodland paths with guns.
Otherwise, the human zoos would fill up that much quicker with the beasts, and charge admission to toss them treats, take silly little photographs to show their neighbors over cocktails. With each treat tossed, with each flash of the bulbs, the beasts grew even more angry, more restless.
They had played dumb too long, eaten too many treats.
They had been mistreated, used as bait for dog fights, hunted and slaughtered in packs, and even killed in cold blood for the sake of amusement, their heads and carcasses mounted on walls for the sake of prestige.
The days of basking in the sun and sleeping under the stars unbothered by man's ignorant tendencies to feel all too powerful over the beast had been missing from their world too long.
But not now.
Now, I, myself, the master of my domain, the woodland King, watch over these beasts of the wood, and they protect it in return—and myself.
We are brothers in arms, and dare anyone—or anything—to trespass here.
Any act of aggression by any interlopers will be met by an act of extreme retaliation.
Or even...death.
