About this listen
Then imagine if those characters brought their world into ours.
This is the story of young Meggie, who lives a quiet life alone with her father Mo, a bookbinder, until one cruel night when Mo reads aloud from Inkheart, and an evil ruler named Capricorn escapes the boundaries of fiction and lands in their living room. Suddenly, Meggie is smack in the middle of the kind of adventure she has only read about in books.
Somehow, Meggie and Mo must learn to harness the magic that conjured up this nightmare. Somehow they must change the course of the story that has changed their lives forever.
This is Inkheart, a timeless tale about books, about imagination, about life.

Never have I sat at the edge of my seat. The story was amazing but Redgrave’s performance sent it over the top. I frequently got chills.

Good story!
A very good story that I found quite intriguing. Not a big fan of the readers voice at times, some of her characters sounded the same.

For lovers of books
A fantastic tale for those who love books. Just as good as an audio book. Be careful to not play it too loud. You might find a character or two coming out of the story.

A Great Bedtime Story
This narrator was just perfect for reading the story. I did find myself listening at 1.25 and 1.5 speed because it was a little slow, but I still found the story engrossing.

Meh
This first book out of the three was pretty boring and a struggle to get through. The second book is much more interesting. Hopefully the third doesn't disappoint.

Interesting Idea
Interesting idea but the concept of reading characters out could have explored more. It an OK young adult story.
