About this listen
Emma is super pretty, super smart, and super rich. So WHY is she kidnapping the billionaire she just bought in the bachelor auction?
Thirteen years before Emma Dumas bought me in a bachelor auction to teach me a lesson, she stole my heart down on Key West. I fell so hard for this girl, I made all the promises. Only with Emma, I really meant them.
And then I disappeared.
But it wasn’t my fault. Let’s just call my reason “Family Business”. I’d tell you what that business is, but then I’d have to kill you. Just kidding. I can’t tell you what my family business is because it’s so secret, even I don’t know.
My point is...I didn’t ghost. It was a weird twist of circumstances. And OK, yes. I did hook up with pretty much every girl on the island that week. But after I met Emma, I was ruined. She’s the only one I wanted.
It’s been 13 years. I’m a changed man. I STILL want her. I have ALWAYS wanted her.
But it’s kind of hard to tell her that with a gag in my mouth and a hood over my head.
Jesse features a bachelor auction gone wrong, four smart ladies who botch a crazy revenge kidnapping, a fancy power dream date with fast cars, private jets, and expensive yachts, lots of ex-sex, and a happily ever after that proves...sometimes the best man for the job is a woman.
Includes a special bonus note from the author.

Convoluted
Great performances as is usual with these two narrators. Story definitely had potential.and geld me to the end, but the writing had a lot of superfluous information that didn't tie in to anything, and the "conclusion" at the end was not very conclusive. I think I will leave my relationship with this series here.

It was good.
The story is really good but there’s still some loose ends that idk if they’ll get cleared up in the other books. But for example Emma’s friends were so pissed at emma for going back to jessy.. it wasn’t explained how the friends resolved their differences with Emma and how they’re okay with it now.

Love this something dufferent
I really enjoyed thus book. There were lots of twists and turns and I couldn't help but laugh over and over. Emma and Jesse are well matched in so many ways their future will not be a quiet peaceful one but it will be happy

Jesse Jesse Jesse
I did enjoy this book till close to the end. The odd twist with the brothers family was just too out there for me. And how she 'saved' him... kinda had an eye roll moment for me. But I did enjoy the first 3/4 of the book. The animosity and angst between the characters and the way they get back at each other had me giggling and smiling. The narrator's did a decent job as well. For the female character, especially towards the end when she supposedly is 'taking control' of the situation could have done a better job at making her sound the part.
Overall worth the listen

Not sure how to feel
I really want to like this book. The brothers are interesting characters. Jesse seemed like a pretty normal 20 yr old guy, alittle more complicated with the addiction thing. He grew up and that is apparent. The actor did a really great job of making me believe him. I'm going to read the next because Joey seems pretty interesting and they look to have very different personalities. I'm also hooked on the cult Johny is involved with. I want to know more.
The women in this book are frustrating. The bitch, the nerd, the one who dates to many men at a time (to be nice) and the insecure/bossy. I hated Emma. She was read whiny and breathy. Holding on for 13 years??? Pls, pick up a phone, try and then kidnapping him and not even considering consequences. Pushing that hard into someone's life like that. Demanding he tell her everything about his family business or loose her. Winning isn't finishing him off. The whole mine is bigger and better. I wanted to slap her so many times lol a strong reaction means good writing, right?
Oh well, going to start the next one now.

Crazy awesome book.
This book was so crazy awesome I can’t even describe it.
The story was fantastic.
The narration was phenomenal.
I wish we would know more about the older brother. But I think we will get to know more about him and his dirty dealings in the next sets of this series. I’m starting the next one right away.
