Not an accurate portrayal of escaping abuse
Poor writing, and unrealistic storyline. She left the abusive relationship with way too much clarity. It doesn't work that way. Regardless of his abusive they are, your emotions and identify are entangled with them. Her journey to healing would have taken much longer, and could have been touched upon in the year that was skipped. And after he's punched out the abusive husband just leaves? Dream on.
