About this listen
She’s the woman he can’t live without.
He can’t risk screwing up their relationship by sleeping with her.
Linc Kingston doesn’t accept anything less than perfection. Not in his billion-dollar business or in his personal life. He has it all, except one thing: his personal assistant and best friend in his bed, moaning his name. No matter how much Linc wants her, she’s completely off-limits.
Jordan Greene grew up the daughter of the housekeeper at the Kingston estate, where she met and bonded with Linc at a young age, despite their economic differences. But no matter how close they are now or how much their attraction simmers beneath the surface, they’re still from two different worlds. Besides, Jordan isn’t about to risk losing her best friend for one sensual night.
Jordan might be the only woman who can handle Linc and his domineering, bossy attitude, but beneath that gruff exterior is a vulnerable man who, despite his wealth, has had a less-than-charmed life. And when Linc’s father dies, she’s there for him - unwavering in her friendship.
Until one night of passion and a positive pregnancy test changes everything.

Narrators were great story was boring
Character development wasn’t very good. I could barely keep listening. The narrators were awesome though which I think were the only reasons I stayed listening! If it was a book I was physically reading I would’ve left it, but I’m a big Sarah j Maas, Laura Pavlov and T L Swan reader so I guess my expectations were high.
Would I recommend? Nope I’d say save your time and go read a more interesting rom com like the takeover by TL Swan - you will laugh your butt off and fall in love with the characters and their love! It’s also very spicy!

Worth a listen
A good modern Cinderella story and an entertaining listen with a decent amount of heat. Great narration.

Only so so
Love Ms. Phillips writing.
But was a bit let down with this book. Good thing it was free.
Not sure if it was the narrators or the ploy that threw me.
Connor was ok, first I’ve heard him. But Mackenzie I really didn’t like. Her voice was too much like she was reading an owner’s manual. BORING.
Not sure I’m ready to try the next. Same narrators.

Relaxing afternoon
Typical romance novel, no surprise twists or unexpected endings but a nice enjoyable read or listen
Spoiler review: I enjoyed the fact that they had been friends for a long time and that was not only established but exemplified in the first few chapters. I was expecting the baby to be more central to the plot based on the description but it really wasn't - the book was more about him cleaning up his father's bad decision in business and in his personal life (ei: unknown sister)
As a glass half full person myself I didn't have a big problem with it but two things did kinda stick out as more it's never going to happen then most 1. While it is very realistic to keep his dads secretary and find her a new position in the company, not charging his dad's co conspirator for doing fishy off the books deals, especially with his worst enemy just not going to happen. I don't care what his reasons were
2. Having his half sister move in with his mom... Nope! His mom being all right with things and accepting his sister into the family does not mean sharing a roof together, no matter how big it is. You own a million properties gift her with a beautiful two bedroom apartment.
Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the family pair off though and always think it's a blessing and a curse when the epilogue leads into the next book in the series... Not a cliff hanger just a set up for what it to come

Cute & entertaining
Good book, nice and easy to listen to. The story was predictable but it's a nice romance, very straight forward and as the title claimed entertaining.
Your usual rich/regular class romance without the drama that comes around it. The regular 75% in book "oh shit moment" is something different, then said drama.
The way the book is written you do fall in love with the Kingston family as a whole which is great for the other book in the series.
Narration was just great 👍 for both Mackenzie and Connor.
This book in Duet would of been wow due to some of the dialogue.

Where there is love happiness will follow.
A touching story of two best friends that will have you smiling, laughing and possibly a fear tears. Once you start reading you will not be able to put it down.

Loved the characters in this book
I realize this is the 1st book in a series so the author had to introduce us to future people for the next book. I would have liked to characters to develop more naturally but the book was pretty good. The male narrator was excellent. I found the female narrator sounded too robotic onnthe beginning but got better over time.
