Publisher's Summary

She's his opposite in every way...and the greatest temptation he's ever known.

Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos—and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.

With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings.

Isabella is everything he shouldn’t want, but with every look and every touch, he’s tempted to break all his rules...and claim her as his own.

***

Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t like or a man she couldn’t charm...except for Kai Young.

It shouldn’t matter. He’s not her type—the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he’s strictly off limits.

But she can’t deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.

No matter how hard they try, they can’t resist giving into their forbidden desires.

Even if it costs them everything.

King of Pride is a steamy opposites-attract forbidden billionaire romance. It's book two in the Kings of Sin series but can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for mature listeners only.

This Male Narrator Ruined it for me

This needs to be re-recorded with a different male narrator. Kai’s voice in King of Wrath is who Kai is. The one in this audiobook isn’t. It was like listening to an AI voice over. Ruined all the scenes they did together for me.

Beware of Kai’s Voice

It take the entirety of the book but by the end you will be somewhat okay listening to Kai’s voice. Story was okay, not Ana’s best. Isa’s voice was sensual and a little slow at times.

The male narrator spoiled it

What were they thinking while getting this male narrator? The book and story was completely destroyed. The voice and mannerism did not suit Kai at all. The conversations sounded so weird where 2 people were talking AT each other instead of with each other. The duet was so wonderfully performed in King of Wrath. This one was huge disappointment.

Decent book, but the narration was off…

The book was good! A classic billionaire trope, nothing too special - a good comfort read. However, I just could not get over the male narrator’s accent. It sounded very fake, and far too “posh”… It almost made me DNF a few times.

u fricken love Kai!

When I read this originally a few months ago I didn't know what to expect, This isn't very troupe heavy and their really isn't a plot it's more character driven.

I loved how organically they got closer and the fact that Kai fell harder (which always hits different).

I loved how on every obstacle his unrelenting love and protectiveness of Isabelle overcame them

A fairly enjoyable story ruined by a bad accent

I loved King of Wrath and found this one underwhelming. The stakes didn’t feel as high and together with a cringeworthy fake British accent, I found it really really hard to finish this book. The accent felt like I was listening to Shakespeare and not smutty romance. The vibe was off.

Couldn’t get past male narrator

The storyline would be much more captivating if the male narrator didn’t sound like a 1800 British royal. Hard to get through the whole book honestly
