About this listen
Rain, the proud and haunted Fey King, risked everything to follow his heart and his destiny to Ellysetta - his truemate, his love, the woodcarver's daughter who possessed miraculous gifts she did not understand. He defied the nobles of Celieria to claim her, battled demons and Elden mages to wed her. And now he must protect her - and his imperiled kingdom - with magic, steel, and scorching flame. For his soul-kin, the magical tairen, are dying, and only the Fey King's bride can save them... if Rain can help his beloved embrace the magic within her and forge the unbreakable bond of passion and power necessary to save her soul.

HORRIBLE NARRATOR!!!!!
The narrator in this book is different than books 1 and 2 and she’s HORRIBLE!!!!! She couldn’t sound more robotic if she tried. You would be better off getting this book and asking Alexa to read it to you. She would sound more human than this lady!

Good story line
The narrator was terrible. I prefer the one from book one. The narrator did the female voices ok but the male ones were awful

Terrible Narrator, Amazing Series
The narrator is an absolutely horrible choice for this book. Every male sounds elderly, which makes it unbearable to listen to Rain in this portrayal. I listened to the first two books with narration by Abby Craden and I couldn’t stop listening. The story is wonderful and the narrator helps to convey so many emotions. But with Emily Durante as the narrator, I cannot bear to continue. I made it about an hour in, trying to get used to it as I need to hear the end of this series. I’ve given up, and will have to continue the series in print. I really hope they will redo the last three books with Abby as well. I honestly think it’s best to pretend that only the first two books have been narrated so far, and that these recordings by Emily do not exist.

Eh
The narrator was ok but the men sounded like they were constipated old men and everyone sounded like they had a native American accent

Narrator not so bad, story a little slow
If your not crazy picky about narrators then don't worry about the other reviews. I was going in super skeptical but quicky realize it was a mild inconvenient change.
The story on the other hand. The first two books held my interest and I devoured them up. Book three was very slow without much really happening. I actually took a small break to read a few stand alone quickies and had to drag myself back to finishing this one.
I really hope the rest of the series picks up
