About this listen

This program includes a foreword read by the author.

The first explosive audiobook about Javanka and their infamous rise to power.

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are the self-styled prince and princess of America. Their swift, gilded rise to extraordinary power in Donald Trump’s White House is unprecedented, unconstitutional, and dangerous. In Kushner, Inc., investigative journalist Vicky Ward digs beneath the myth the couple has created that depicts themselves as the voices of reason in an otherwise crazy presidency and reveals that Jared and Ivanka are not just the president’s chief enablers, they are, like him, disdainful of rules, of laws, and of ethics. They are entitled inheritors of the worst kind; their combination of ignorance, arrogance, and an insatiable lust for power has caused havoc all over the world and threatens the democracy of the United States.

Ward follows their trajectory from New Jersey and New York City to the White House, where the couple’s many forays into policy making and national security have mocked long-standing US policy and protocol. They have pursued a personal agenda that is making them very rich while their actions have mostly gone unchecked. In Kushner, Inc., Ward holds Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump accountable: She unveils the couple’s secret self-serving transactional motivations and how those have propelled them into the highest levels of the US government where no one, the president included, has been able to stop them.

Interesting story, poor narration & audio quality

The story of the Kushner family is fascinating, but the quality of the narrator's pronunciation and how it cuts in and out for obvious correction is grating. The physical book would have been much more satisfying.

Not much new here.

You would think an “investigative” reporter would know that J. Trudeau is the Canadian prime minister. Not premier. The overdubbed narration and mis-pronunciation cheapens this effort.

Voice is distracting but story interesting

Though listening to the author in interviews has been interesting and engaging, the audiobook would have benefited from a professional reader as it sounded at times a bit breathless and distracting but in a good way or pulp fiction way. The English accent also made it hard to imagine corrupted New Joiesy “business men” taking that way. Some words redone and inserted were noticeable. The story is interesting now but perhaps not timeless in a few years. I would have the audio redone with a native New Yorker or similar.

Great story. Jarring narration.

‘Hats off ‘ to Vicky for a riveting tale but I would much rather have heard her narrate. I suspect the person chosen was to be a ‘sound-a-like’ but it was truly hard to listen to so many jarring mispronunciations and odd sequences where it sounded like she had to edit and dub in partial sentences. At one point she even misreads ‘adoption’ as ‘abortion’. I know the narrator isn’t a US political insider but the last name butchering was hard to listen to and S.T.E.M. isn’t pronounced ‘Steam’ C’mon!!

Awful

Was looking forward to this “story” and I think it was reasonably written but the narration is horrible. One of the worst I have ever listened to and just does not match the content at all. I was going to listen to the rest but just could not tolerate the narration!

caveat emptor !!!! Horrible narrator 👎👎👎👎👎👎

The story is kind of interesting ... If you like Trump style " car crashes " . I have NO idea if there is any degree of accuracy.
The narrator is the issue ... I have bought over 200+ titles from Audible. This narrator is by far the worst. It's almost like she's had never taken a breath ... I though maybe the title was playing on 1.5x . I think it is two narrators, who changed places MID-SENTENCE. I ALSO THINK THERE HAS BEEN EDITING AFTER THE FACT , EVEN MID SENTENCE.

AUDIBLE HOW CAN YOU SELL THIS JUNK ?? Did you even listen to it first?
