Xander was raising his five nieces and nephews. For Sage, that was a deal breaker.
He was the bakery guy. The very nice man who bought his aunt’s bakery in the tiny town of Castle Springs. Sage instantly liked him the day they met, though she found him a bit annoying. But that adorable crooked smile of his was charming enough to overcome any annoying things he might say or do. Then she found out about the kids.
At the age of twenty-four, five kids was not something Sage wanted to take on. No matter how charming Xander’s smile was. So, she settled for being his friend. She’d make a couple of trips to the bakery a week and get her Xander fix. She could handle that.
But when she became Joey’s partner at the Green Springs Inn and was put in charge of the kitchen, things got harder. Xander was supplying the inn with baked goods, and suddenly she was seeing him every morning.
Can she stay strong and not let Xander get to her heart? It’d be a lot easier if he didn’t have that adorable crooked smile.
