Fate intervenes in the shape of handsome, young Ian, very human and very poisonous to the elven. Trying out her independence for the first time in her life, what will Lera decide? Amazing Fantasy Adventure

Lera's Sorrow begins the adventure of the Darkliete Series. It was beautifully narrated and wonderfully written. It follows Lera, an elven healer, on her journey of ascension into adulthood. The elven clans are dying out because there are no children to carry on their family lines. They expect Lera to assist with this and hope she will have many children of her own. Unexpected events throw this plan off course when Lera meets a human. The story unfolds beautifully as Lera is forced to cope with consequences of her actions and to make a very difficult decision in the end. It sets up the next book in the series, which I am anxiously awaiting that audiobook. This book has vivid descriptions that transport you to the author's brilliant fantasy worlds. The characters speak to you and touch your heart and soul. I would highly recommend this series to any fantasy fans.
