I’m sharing it all here. It’s not easy being a woman in comedy, especially when you’re a tall-*ss Black woman with a trumpet voice. I have to fight so that no one takes me for granted, and no one takes advantage. These are the stories that explain why. (Cue the Law & Order theme.)

She’s undeniable!

I always liked Leslie Jones...
... and after reading this book, I LOVE her! She's gone through so much and has kept a positive attitude with impeccable humour. I don't even know how you'd read the hard copy of this book... her laugh is infectious!

Loved it

Sad that it’s over
This book was an absolute blast to listen to. It felt like I was right there in the room w/ Leslie for the laughter and the tears. I’ve loved Leslie since Game of Jones and continue to love anything she puts out into the world (more Daily Show pls!). Her story is an inspiration for any woman who wants to show up and be themselves in all that they do. To keep learning, growing and take care of those around you.

Leslie home is mf hilarious
I just really liked hearing her story. She worked hard to get where she is and I miss her on SNL. Just watch your MF after listening to this!

I loved this!
I only knew LJ from SNL . Thought us was funny and talented. This book talks of her humble beginnings and real life challenges. I have nothing but respect for LJ. Many time I laughed out loud to myself 😃

The tickle
Damn - Leslie Jones… you’re a wow. I am so glad I listened to you narrate this - never heard anything like this. You are such a star and so much real talk. Major takeaways (I.e. my funeral plans are definitely sub-par), and major tickles. Thank you SO much for gifting the world with your light. I’m devastated the book is done - I may have to listen to this again. So much love.

Don't read if you don't want to hear a lot of cursing.
While I mostly enjoyed this book, and listened nonnstop as much as I could I can't help but notice a few things.
Firstly, this book and how Leslie tells her story reminded me a lot of Whoopi Goldbergs at first. Leslie Jones curses a lot, which is fine by me. I feel like as I listened I recognized that some people just don't know how to take accountability for their actions which got me annoyed at times. Still a great read though.

Does not disappoint!
True American dream winner Leslie Jones is hilarious and raw telling her life story.
Great grown ass woman advice for life.
Now I feel like I have to read the paper book to see how much more she added in the audiobook version.
