Good advice but…

I found the author's advice to be helpful and very insightful . The guidance on communication, conflict resolution, and setting boundaries in relationships was solid. However, I was slightly put off by the occasional insertion of bible quotes and mentions of God throughout the book.

As someone who is not religious, I felt that the religious content was unnecessary and somewhat intrusive. While it wasn't overly pervasive, the religious references did stand out to me and felt like they were being forced upon the reader. I would have preferred if the author had kept the focus more on the practical aspects of relationships and left out the religious components altogether.

Overall, I would still recommend the book for its solid relationship advice, but I would caution readers who do not appreciate religious references to be prepared for some mentions of God and bible quotes throughout the text. It's important to keep an open mind and recognize that not all readers may share the same beliefs when approaching this self-help book.

Perfect reflection of my relationship

This book has given me the most incredible insight into what makes my relationship incredible. It also showed me the mistakes I’ve made and the reasons why he backs away when he is stressed. Most importantly the strategies to overcome these issues are easy to implement and make total sense. I bought the book in paper too so I can use it as a handbook and write out responses. All around fantastic for people who suffer from anxiety and overthinking in their relationships!!

very informative wish I'd read it sooner

this book is full of good useful tips on how to stop overthinking and be present in your relationship. sadly I came across this book late and had a separation. I feel if I had a read this I might have been able to change the outcome.

Decent advice.

Good general advice. Wasn’t expecting the Christian aspect but it wasn’t heavy handed. I didn’t learn anything new but was reminded and that can be helpful. But I’ve been in deep therapy for years so I’m well versed. But to someone new to this information I would recommend it if you don’t mind the religious tone.

Gives you perspective

Has helped me put things into perspective, but also on how to deal with relationship anxiety. I'm trying to help myself overcome trauma from my past relationships and needed something to help me for potential relationships. And I'm glad this was my first choice. I definitely recommend!
