About this listen

From Adrian Tchaikovsky, author of Children of Time and winner of the Arthur C. Clarke Award, Lords of Uncreation is the final high-octane instalment in the Final Architecture space opera trilogy.

He's found a way to end their war, but will humanity survive to see it?

Idris Telemmier has uncovered a secret that changes everything – the Architects’ greatest weakness. A shadowy Cartel scrambles to turn his discovery into a weapon against these alien destroyers of worlds. But between them and victory stands self-interest. The galaxy’s great powers would rather pursue their own agendas than stand together against this shared terror.

Human and inhuman interests wrestle to control Idris’ discovery, as the galaxy erupts into a mutually destructive and self-defeating war. The other great obstacle to striking against their alien threat is Idris himself. He knows that the Architects, despite their power, are merely tools of a higher intelligence.

Deep within unspace, where time moves differently, and reality isn’t quite what it seems, their masters are the true threat. Masters who are just becoming aware of humanity’s daring – and taking steps to exterminate this annoyance forever.

Great end to a great series.

This has been a great series. The voice work/acting is perfect. This series got me into other works by the author and I think it's one of his best.

Gives me the shivers

Best of the series. Getting to be one of my favourite all time authors. How does he manage to be so prolific and still be good?

Excellent

This book was excellent and well-narrated. Characters you wish would get their own spin-off series just so you can spend more time with them.

A Fitting end!

Such a great ending to the trilogy. It was so good I listened to it twice back to back. Tchaikovsky is a master story teller and Sophie Aldred brings this book to life with her amazing narration.

the whole series is a downward spiral...

...into the Abyss. and this last book is a rollercoaster straight DOWN. Buckle UP!

This one is so fantastic as a third novel that it begs the question when will we get a time jump second trilogy?

anyway. if you like AT then you've probably already read this book and agree with me already.

slam dunk A.T. is the GOAT Sci-fi writer.

Waiting

Honestly, this whole series could have been half the length. I was done with it before this book even started, but I decided to go through with it just to find out what happens in the end. I found myself continually checking to see how much longer it was until the end. The main character lacked any development or personality, the solutions to the arcs seemed to be invented out of thin air. The author was over descriptive with many sequences such as the character's time in the void which was punctuated by action scenes that didn't really utilize with the character's skills. Basically the whole thing fell flat and I wasn't invested anymore.
