About this listen
Seventeen-year-old Eden Shaw is at the end of her rope—literally. Since losing her boyfriend, Adam, in a school shooting the previous winter, Eden has tried everything—counselors, shrinks, even the local pastor—to free herself from the darkness that pervades every nook and cranny of her being. But after months of fighting a losing battle, she is convinced the only way out is by ending it all.
With her mind made up, Eden climbs to the top of the high school football stadium, where she plans to jump. But before she takes flight, a young man named Logan James appears and pulls Eden back from the edge of the abyss. Despite their inauspicious start—and the fact that Eden finds him frustratingly obnoxious—a friendship soon develops, and eventually, they fall in love.
But just as the pieces to Eden's life appear to be falling into place, she discovers Logan is harboring a secret that threatens to tear them apart. To atone for the sins of revealing his true identity, Logan is forced by the higher power that employs him to present Eden with an offer she can’t refuse. If she accepts, her beloved Adam will return. There's only one catch: Logan, and every memory Eden has of her time with him, will vanish.
Faced with a heartbreaking decision, Eden weighs her new love against the love that was stolen from her.

Unique
I really enjoy listening to this authors books because of his creative writing. He keeps you guessing til the last 2 minutes. I love that it’s not predictable! I also enjoy his fresh approach to writing. Having an Angel instead of vampires or werewolves. But mostly I enjoy the innocence in his writing. Such a good break from Netflix where everything is so dark. Thanks for another enjoyable listen 💖
