About this listen
Millions of Christians have struggled with how to reconcile God's love and God's judgment: Has God created billions of people over thousands of years only to select a few to go to heaven and everyone else to suffer forever in hell? Is this acceptable to God? How is this "good news"?
Troubling questions, so troubling that many have lost their faith because of them. Others only whisper the questions to themselves, fearing or being taught that they might lose their faith and their church if they ask them out loud.
But what if these questions trouble us for good reason? What if the story of heaven and hell we have been taught is not, in fact, what the Bible teaches? What if what Jesus meant by heaven, hell, and salvation are very different from how we have come to understand them?
What if it is God who wants us to face these questions?
Author, pastor, and innovative teacher Rob Bell presents a deeply biblical vision for rediscovering a richer, grander, truer, and more spiritually satisfying way of understanding heaven, hell, God, Jesus, salvation, and repentance. The result is the discovery that the "good news" is much, much better than we ever imagined. Love wins.

Story
Everything Is Spiritual is a brief history of how these ideas about creation, love, and connection shaped the author - and can shape every one of us. In this audiobook, Rob Bell explores the concept that what people really want, more than anything, is to understand their purpose here - so much so that it gives them an abiding sense of awe and wonder. And when you embrace where and who you come from and your wounds and pains and regrets, you will discover that there's an invitation lurking there in the mess of life.

In his decades as a globally recognized teacher, Richard Rohr has helped millions realize what is at stake in matters of faith and spirituality. Yet Rohr has never written on the most perennially talked about topic in Christianity: Jesus. Most know who Jesus was, but who was Christ? Drawing on scripture, history, and spiritual practice, Rohr articulates a transformative view of Jesus Christ as a portrait of God’s constant, unfolding work in the world.

"We have to test everything. I thank God for anybody anywhere who is pointing people to the mysteries of God. But those people would all tell you to think long and hard about what they are saying and doing and creating. Test it. Probe it. Do that to this book. Don't swallow it uncritically. Think about it. Wrestle with it. Just because I'm a Christian and I'm trying to articulate a Christian worldview doesn't mean I've got it nailed. I'm contributing to the discussion. God has spoken, and the rest is commentary, right?" (Rob Bell)

Story
In the first half of life, we are naturally preoccupied with establishing ourselves; climbing, achieving, and performing. But as we grow older and encounter challenges and mistakes, we need to see ourselves in a different and more life-giving way. This message of falling down - that is in fact moving upward - is the most resisted and counterintuitive of messages in the world's religions. Falling Upward offers a new paradigm for understanding one of the most profound of life's mysteries: how those who have fallen down are the only ones who understand "up".

I might not agree theologically but I am edified!
A lot stress and worry has been created about this book, but a really good question to ask oneself is why does a belief in an eternal punishment necessary in the GOOD NEWS. Rob’s book even if like me you don’t agree with His theological position invites us into being Love that Wins. We do need Hell as a motivation to share the Good News maybe all we need is News that is that Good, that it must be shared! This is an awesome book and you do not need to be a universalist to edified by this book! Awesome story teller and great writer!

God is Love and He made us to win!
Such a provocative book, read captivatingly by Rob Bell himself! He made me evaluate my old paradigms, held up to the light of truth. So freeing to understand Scripture in context. He did not proof text to make his point; but actually opened up Scripture in a way that revealed the incredible love of God. Do not be afraid to read Scripture for yourself. Do not be afraid to think and analyze doctrine taught to us when we were young and gullible. I came away even more in love with God than when I started the book. Thank you!

Excellent book
If you struggle to know if God is good all the time, this is the book for you.
Rob goes through all Bible verses needed to show you that what might make you question God’s grace, is in fact a misunderstanding of the context.
Where sin abounds, grace abounds much more, and at the end of times or ages, God’s love wins!

Not Biblical, heretical teachings.
Purchased so I could see what all of the hype was about. You have to simply choose between what the Bible plainly speaks of, or what Rob Bell has for your itching ears (2 Timthy 4:3). Indeed, we are living in the last days with many false teachers among us, too cowardly to stand on the Word of God.
