Publisher's Summary
You can raise good kids!
Loving Our Kids on Purpose combines the principles of the Kingdom of God and revival to form a powerful strategy for parents.
Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17). Rather than the traditional approaches that train children to learn to accept being controlled by well-meaning parents and adults, this book teaches parents how to train children to manage their freedoms and protect their important heart-to-heart relationships.
Children were designed with the core need of freedom. To deny this or live ignorant of it eventually destroys the trust connection between parent and child.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.(1 John 4:18 NKJV).
Loving Our Kids on Purpose introduces paradigms, perceptions, skills, and ideas that will help parents reduce fear by eliminating the tool of punishment, and strengthening the core character of their children by empowering their self-control and value for their relationship with their parents.

Story
Living with humans is messy. Our children make messes. Our spouses and friends make messes. So do our coworkers, bosses, pastors, and presidents...and so do we. Messes are scary, painful, and offensive. And whether we're dealing with the pain of a personal failure, the frustration of a disrespectful child, the devastation of a major betrayal, the stress of a workplace conflict, or the fallout of larger social injustices, classically we react the same way - with fear, shame, and punishment.

Self-initiation is killing our young men. Without strong mentors, boys are walking alone into a wilderness of conflicting messages about who they should be as men. It's no wonder that our sons are confused about what the world expects from them and what they should expect of themselves. The Intentional Father is the antidote. This concise book is filled with practical steps to help men raise sons of consequence—young men who know what they believe, know who they are, and will stand up against the negative cultural trends of our day.

Story
The Culture of Honor is a book of reformation. It is intended to disrupt our current model of authority. Jesus put it like this in Matthew 20:25-26: "But Jesus called them to Himself and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. Those with power must learn to empower those around them or we will never build Heaven on the Earth."

continue to seek and love on purpose
I finished this audiobook in 3 days and took points as I moved to each chapter. It is very important to be proactive and keep the same technique as the book suggested. making heart to heart connection with your children is a must. since I started to communicate with my 4 years old all our problems seems to be resolved. no more biting, yelling, or non abeyance. giving children their choices and giving tasks were game changing in my parenting so far. I didn't grow up that way so it was all new to me! Id recommend this book. Even though I am not a religious person but do have moral and principal of knowing what's wrong or right. the book talks about Christianity and bible and refers to them quotes often which I think its good to have it in mind but the main message has been the same " love our kids on purpose" Thank you Danny Silk

Great way to parent your kids and live with people
Danny does a good job with examples and stories to make the case that parenting in this way is a no brainer. I have already started and it works well to use love and logic type parenting styles.

So Helpful
I have read this book multiple times and I love it. It teaches us how to raise our children to be awesome powerful people so they can go out into the world and live life to the fullest!!
The narrator was great, he was clear and full of enthusiasm so it never got boring. I actually enjoyed someone reading the book to me, instead of reading it myself!!!
