About this listen
A dragon without a hoard
Dragon shifter Kezari gave up everything to stop the poison she’d sensed on Earth. Though welcomed by the Moranaian elves, she struggles to find her place in a land with different customs and expectations. Her situation only gets worse after she’s assigned to deliver healing potions with the annoying mind healer Tynan. How is she supposed to work with a man when she can’t decide whether to push him away or kiss him?
A mind healer on the brink
After a mishap in his youth, Tynan trained hard to hone his gifts of mind healing and empathy, but working at Braelyn is his greatest challenge. Between traumas and mystery plagues, his temporary assignment stretches from days to weeks. But his biggest problem? Kezari, the dragon shifter he’s certain is his soulbonded. Her nearness strains his control over his empathy—and he knows far too well that losing his grip on his gift means catastrophe.
A struggle between worlds
Kezari and Tynan must learn to work together quickly. Trouble is stirring with the dragons, and when a meeting with the ancient dragon Caeregas reveals the extent of the problem, Kezari feels honor bound to solve it. Too bad working with the mind healer might be her only chance at victory.

Loved it
I loved this book. It’s definitely in the top 3 from this series. I love that we’re back with the previous characters and the progression for each of them.

Oh my goodness
I am going to miss this series, I miss the charaters already. The world that Bethany Adams has created is beautiful. The interaction between the different species is beautiful. There is so much Iove, and the women are strong. I cant wait for the next two books. They are on my watch list.

great books
I love that each follows its own characters but still maintains a whole story line! getting the different views was amazing!
voices were a bit inconsistent and mistakes while reading were made (mistaking names or changing pronunciation) but over all was able to be ignored

This series easily flows from the first book to the last.
The character's were imaginative and well thought out. I do hope that there will be a series from this point forward.

Interesting twists…
This is book 9 of 10 (so far?) of Return of the Elves and it’s brought another intriguing pairing, danger, drama, some resolution and some threads left dangling. Not my favourite of the series, but excellent entertainment. As always, the narration by Stefan Rudnicki and Gabrielle de Cuir brings the characters their own unique voices and keeps the listener eagerly awaiting the next chapter, next book!
