Jessie's new life adjustment is well underway. The tough alpha Austin has joined her team, and she has painstakingly learned to fly. Life is going a-okay.
That is, until her parents decide to visit....
They don't know anything about magic, about Jessie's new digs, or about the crazy crew living in and around Jessie's house. She must do everything in her power to keep the truth away from them.
Which would be much easier without the unfelt presence lurking within Ivy House's borders. It seems an enemy has figured out a way to magically bypass Ivy House's defenses. Jessie is completely exposed.

Lots of fun, except for the "popping biceps"
I never ever read romances, so the fact that I am really enjoying this series despite the romantic angles says a lot about the writer and the narrator. Seriously, I don't care about Austin's popping biceps/rippling pecs/bulging sweatpants or whatever. Let's get back to the magic and humour! Anyway, that's just my opinion. I'm sure there are lots of folks out there who love the sexual tension between the characters.
That aside, this is a light-hearted (with the occasional gory scene thrown in for good measure), fun series full of magic, quirky characters and humour. It doesn't take itself too seriously and you shouldn't either.

Love this series
This is a great next chapter to the life and times in Jesse life. I wished her parents were more open to what was going on. That would have added another couple interesting chapters. Can't wait to hear what's in store in the next book.

Been enjoying but...
I really had been enjoying the leveling up series, but there is one line I'd like to address in the story that, I simply wish just wasn't there. At some point in the story Austin asks if Jesse is afraid that he's "going native". I just feel like this line is unnecessary and definitely insensitive. At any rate, I was just disappointed to hear something like that in a book series that I had been enjoying. I would love if this could be changed at some point, or removed altogether.

AWESOME!!
This is the most exciting New series I have listened to in a long time. I absolutely love the characters and the mix of serious and humour. The plot is excellent and the narrator does a wonderful job with all the different voices. I can’t wait for more.

Entertaining listen!
This series is filled with laugh out loud moments, things that make you want to shake your head and walk away, and features a 40 something year old woman who knows who she is and is ready to occupy her space. love it!
