About this listen
From the USA Today best-selling series.
There are three things you need to know about Kat Tanner (aka Kathleen Tyson...and yes, she is that Kathleen Tyson). One: She’s determined to make good decisions. Two: She must get married ASAP. And three: She knows how to knit.
Being a billionaire heiress isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, it sucks. Determined to live a quiet life, Kat Tanner changed her identity years ago and eschewed her family’s legacy. But now, Kat’s silver spoon past has finally caught up with her, and so have her youthful mistakes. To avoid imminent disaster, she must marry immediately; it is essential that the person she chooses have no romantic feelings for her whatsoever and be completely trustworthy.
Fortunately, she knows exactly who to ask. Dan O’Malley checks all the boxes: single, romantically indifferent to her, completely trustworthy. Sure, she might have a wee little crush on Dan the Security Man, but with clear rules, expectations, and a legally binding contract, Kat is certain she can make it through this debacle with her sanity - and heart - all in one piece.
Except, what happens when Dan O’Malley isn’t as indifferent - or as trustworthy - as she thought?

Story
Former beauty queen Ashley Winston’s preferred coping strategy is escapism. She escaped her Tennessee small town, loathsome father, and six brothers eight years ago. However, when a family tragedy forces her to return home, Ashley can’t escape the notice of Drew Runous—local Game Warden, bear wrestler, philosopher, and everyone’s favorite guy. Drew’s irksome philosophizing in particular makes Ashley want to run for the skyscrapers, especially since he can’t seem to keep his exasperating opinions— or his soulful poetry, steadfast support, and delightful hands— to himself.

Story
Rex “TW” McMurtry’s perpetual singlehood wouldn’t bother him so much if all his ex-girlfriends didn’t keep marrying the very next person they dated, especially when so many of those grooms are his closest friends. He may be a pro-football defensive end for the Chicago Squalls, but the press only wants to talk about how he’s always a groomsman and never a groom. Bartender Abigail McNerny is the gal-pal, the wing-woman, the she-BFF. Abby is convinced no one on earth could ever entice her into a romantic relationship...except that one guy she’s loved since preschool.

Speed issues
Female narrator is too fast. Listen to her parts at 0.9x and his at 1.0x and then it sounded normal. Sweet story.

This was an awesome story. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. The characters are fantastic. You fall in love with them. Especially, Dan the security man!!! Hubba, hubba! I love the Boston accent that Sephen Dexter does! 😍 Angela Dawe was superb as well. Totally recommend this one. So many funny moments throughout the book!!

Excellent Series
Absolutely loved all the books in the series. The masterful and funny depiction of some tough but important subjects and topics is to be applauded. All narrators did a great job in bringing to life all the characters.

Love this author!
Penny Reid’s stories always pull me in right away with her interesting and multidimensional characters. I’m suddenly back with my knitting group and the adventures continue. This was one of my favourites from this series.

horrible plot and characters
wow, this could not have been worse. couldn't suffer through the last 4 hrs of the same uncreative dialogue. female character was boring and weak. very disappointing end to an otherwise interesting series. talk about not saving the best for last...
