About this listen
Lieutenant Cora Harper joined the Systems Alliance to develop and enhance her powerful biotic talents. She was assigned to the asari commando unit Talein's Daughters, where she honed her abilities to become a skilled and deadly huntress.
Returning to Earth, Cora finds herself a stranger among other humans, and joins the Andromeda Initiative as Alec Ryder's second-in-command. The mission will send 100,000 colonists on a one-way, 600-year-long journey into the unknown. When essential - and dangerous - tech is stolen, Cora is assigned to recover it before it can be used against the Initiative, and end the mission before it can begin.

much better than the previous
I felt compelled to listen to this book from the beginning. I was a bit skeptical about how entertaining this audiobook would be in it's early minutes, however, to my surprise it was good and captivating.
unlikely the first volume, which tells the story through the wyes of a lot of characters, mixing an omniscient writer voice with those of the characters, which made everything look like vanilla, in this volume, you have the vision of a main character, a relatable one.
Also, the word choice of the writer and voice acting were a little bit better, which contributed to pass the feelings of the situatuon the main character was into.
This is a good book. i recommend it.

unfortunately this narration was the downfall for me I love mass effect series but couldn't force myself to continue listening. I even tried a few times. glad it was free, no money lost!

good book bad narrator
book was pretty good but narrator wasn't great. she doesn't seem to be able to change your voice much just if it's high or low. didn't make me not want to finish it though as I did. not something I would pay for but technically I did as it's included in Prime which I pay for.

Exciting and entertaining
I enjoyed both the story and the narration. The narrator did a great job of putting life into the story.
Audio books are a great way o pass the time on car rides and mundane tasks.

Bad narrator, forgettable overall.
Here's a fun game; listen to this book and take a shot every time the narrator says "_____ frowned". That's probably the most entertainment most will get out of this book. Lazy writing and horrible low-effort amateur narration bog this forgettable book down. The best things I can say about this title is that the story has somewhat intriguing moments of mystery every once in a while, the story flows well and doesn't often feel slowed down due to filler, and Cora isn't nearly as annoying and b**chy of a main character as "Mass Effect: Nexus Rising's" Sloane Kelly. Listen if you're craving a Mass Effect fix and can multitask while doing something else, but avoid this book otherwise.
