About this listen

Are you a Christian and struggling to find your praise? Then, read on...

Beloved, God wants you to be joyful. But, don’t get joy confused with happiness. Happiness is a feeling that is apart of joy. But, happiness is just that - a feeling. Feelings are fleeting. They aren’t dependable because they are usually dependent on the state of situations. Happiness is too flimsy to base your strength on.

Why does God want you to be joyful? Because, being joyful means that you’ve found something to be grateful for. In a state of gratefulness, you will do what you were created to do - praise and worship the Father. Humans were created to be delighted by God, to be in awe of him, and worship him.

At creation, God created the sun, moon, stars, land, sea, and animals. Then, he created man. God made man sleep, then he created woman. Do you see the theme? God wanted man to enjoy his creations after he created them. Think of it, God could’ve very easily made man, then invited man to join in creating the world. But he didn’t. He wanted man to be delighted.

Meditate on the Bible and Jesus’ Words: Practice Your Praise!: Christian meditation - the Joy of the Lord Is My Strength is a curated Bible verse word bath focused on psalms of praise. Relax and let the words flow over you. Like you're taking a warm shower. As you listen, they’ll sink into you.
