About this listen
You heard about the benefits of meditation. You listen to other people talking about the powerful and impressive effects of practicing meditation. However, you don’t know how to get started and feel this is difficult.
A habitual meditation exercise can make you healthier, happier, and more successful. You can literally transform your life.
The first time I heard about it I had the same doubts you probably have now: chanting, crystals, or playing with an eagle feather…“woo woo” stuff!!
However, this is not the case. Mediation is a scientifically proven way of taking control of your life by taking control of your mind.
According to Buddhism, taking control of your mind using meditation is the only real antidote to stress, anxiety and depression. Scientific studies have validated this and offer proof that meditation can in fact change brain chemistry and alter brain waves.
So if you are convinced about it, the second problem to be faced is the belief it has to be difficult and hard to learn.
Unfortunately, due to the high pressure society we live in, we are forced to think we can only react to things happening in our life. We constantly live in man-made distractions environment where nobody can have the chance and ability to stop working, relax, and concentrate on himself.
As everything in our life, you just need to practice and learn. Everything has a beginning. When you learn how to ride a bike or drive a car you firstly consciously focused on doing it. You made mistakes - you felt anxious and uncomfortable.
Don’t worry - your meditation abilities will improve day by day by practicing. It will then become easier and not requiring a conscious effort.
As soon as you see you are reducing your stress, improving your mental health, and feeling better, more productive and positive, ultimately you will enjoy meditation, a lot!
Remember to get started.
