I really, really wanted to like this..

The narrative sounded interesting, and the story itself for the first book is ok, but I find myself either rolling my eyes or falling asleep. I don't know if it is the narration or something else but I just don't think I can go forward with the remainder of the first and the next two. It has potential, I think, as there are some interesting characters that could have been really fun, but for me it's a hard pass.
