Publisher's Summary

Mere Christianity is C.S. Lewis' forceful and accessible doctrine of Christian belief. First heard as informal radio broadcasts and then published as three separate books, The Case for Christianity, Christian Behavior, and Beyond Personality, Mere Christianity brings together what Lewis sees as the fundamental truths of the religion. Rejecting the boundaries that divide Christianity's many denominations, C.S. Lewis finds a common ground on which all those who have Christian faith can stand together, proving that "at the center of each there is something, or a Someone, who against all divergences of belief, all differences of temperament, all memories of mutual persecution, speaks with the same voice".

Thought provoking and no nonsense

The narrator creates an atmosphere that entices you to listen multiple times. For the layman and/or previous religeous skeptic, this was an enlightening read and helped me to gain a deeper understanding of Christianity in a logical and profound way.

After experiencing something many would consider 'spiritual' in nature, I've been on a quest to decipher some meaning behind my journey through the fire and hope to make it through the other side as a true believer and this writing helps me to navigate this process with an open mind and heart.

The author is brilliant - well worth the deep dive into all his works. I am grateful to have been introduced to his material. 🙏

Irrevocably Touched

I should have read this book as a young Christian. it reflects much of the struggles I experienced as a maturing Christian; and reading it now explained why I have so much more maturing to do; stripping the yet present layers of SELF .

C S Lewis At His Brilliant Best

I first read this book in 1995. I have been so enjoying the experience of hearing it read so well. There are nuances that come through in the spoken word that are not always as clearly defined in the printed page. I truly appreciate this outstanding offering.

Soothing

Nothing like listening to a well written book. Music to the ears. His arguments are great tools to have in your apologetic arsenal.
