What the critics say

"This is a man with 'Adventure' as his middle name. The book captivated me from the start.... Mike writes in a galloping, eye-witness-type style with flashes of droll humour." (Journalist Niki Moore)

Col. Hoare's travelogues

Colonel Hoare was one of the last great adventurers in Africa. This book is a little dull compared with his war stories, but if you're interested in travelogues or the life of the man himself, it's well worth the listen.
