About this listen
Kaely Quinn's talents as an FBI behavior analyst are impossible to ignore, no matter how unorthodox her methods. But when a reporter outs her as the daughter of an infamous serial killer, she's demoted to field agent and transferred to St. Louis.
When the same reporter who ruined her career claims to have received an anonymous poem predicting a string of murders, ending with Kaely's, the reporter's ulterior motives bring his claim into question. But when a body is found that fits the poem's predictions, the threat is undeniable, and the FBI sends Special Agent Noah Hunter to St. Louis.
Initially resentful of the assignment, Noah is surprised at how quickly his respect for Kaely grows, despite her oddities. But with a brazen serial killer who breaks all the normal patterns on the loose, Noah and Kaely are tested to their limits to catch the murderer before anyone else - including Kaely herself - is killed.

Kept me entertained
Story was written well, the narrator isn't my absolute favorite but does a decent job. love how this story has the topic of faith in it and touches on everyday struggles people have with God. Have been thoroughly enjoying the stories by this narrator. Always keeps me engaged.

Very religious, but not till you’re already 4 hours in
This book was awful. Jumps around, weird details at time but lack of consistency and environment at other times. Like describing microwaving food but where did the cat go? Very pushy about religion. Feels like it should have a tag for heavily religious. It felt very judgey. If the others are free I’ll probably listen, because I like Noah, and listen to a book a day. But overall, ya, pretty crap book and writing.

Excellent once you get into it
I have a hard time staying hooked on series but this one, once I got past the first few chapters I bought the next to books and listened to them right away. excellent series just a rough start with this one. Great if your christain or curious but you certainly don't need to be to read this series. Definitely in my to buy list for purchasing physical copies.

Almost good
Not a fan of the god tone, but not the only reason for the review. Great start but when it came time to pull it together for the conclusion, it was poorly put together. Way too many pointless plot points. Non of what happens in the story was needed. It could have all been done in a dinner without any of the cat and mouse. Feels like the author had an outcome and a glory to god climax she wanted. Could have been a good story.

Agreed pushes religion
I was enjoying this story and then………the religion pushing started. I so do not listen to “mysteries” to be converted. Really put me off. Not likely to listen to another of this writers stories. Sad.
